Lucas Art games cab be run on the iPhone flawlessly

The iPhone cannot be called most technologically advanced handset in the market at the moment, what makes it even more appealing would be the fact that one can run Lucas Arts games on it without a flaw? The only downside would be having your phone undergo a Jailbreak which some are not willing to do. Currently, the list of games supported include: Beneath a Steel Sky, Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars. We do not care how bad the reception is, how expensive the unlocked version will be. With Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island and Sam & Max all on everyone’s list of ‘most awesome games ever' it's pretty evident why this is an exciting development. Better still, the team behind the emulator even got multi-touch working to provide right clicks making the PC to iPhone…

    “I Call Me” pure genius

Weather just a concept or an actual product; it's such a clever one in its total simplicity it’s almost genius. An interesting concept was developed in order to make it easy to find your handset or leave a dull party. The developers decided to call this cute new device the” I Call Me”, and it can double up as a key ring. A single press will be able to ring your cellphone - great for folks who misplace their handsets or their keys. The calling works both ways so you can also find your keys by using your cellphone to call “I Call Me”. If that wasn't enough, the other potential application, for faking a phone call when you need to get out of a situation, would probably be even more useful. The device also gives you a good reason to leave any undesirable social gathering…

iPhone interests more people then the global warming

Although it wasn't released until June the release of iPhone was one of the search leaders, according to a report released Monday by Lycos. In an uncommon appearance for a technology event, the "Debut of the iPhone" has won the fifth place in the news category. The other four top news searches that beat the “introduction of iPhone” were: execution of Sadaam Hussein, which finished first, and, in order, the Iran conflict, the Pakistan conflict, and global warming. The iPhone beat gas prices, illegal immigration, football player Michael Vick's dog-fighting outrage, and North Korea's nuclear situation. The iPhone has continued to interest Internet users, who just can't get enough of the entertainment based phone. Lycos expects iPhone searches will only increase…

Japan introduces the Echo Charge 1100 to the cellphone users.

Yes it is official; Japan has one of the highest access rates when it comes to cellphones. So it makes perfect sense for phone owners to back themselves up with the Echo Charge 1100. This small device is a portable battery that can be charged via a regular power outlet before use. Then you can easily plug it into your handset whenever it flashes the "Low Battery" warning. Japanese must be getting quite a phone bill after talking for hours. But then, they do have one of the highest ???quality of life??? rates, too. As its name suggests, the battery has a powerful 110mAH ability to keep you talking long after your phone's battery would have worn out. Measuring a mere 11mm in thickness and weighing 50 grams, carrying the Echo Charge 1100 pretty much does not…

A Secretary Of Your Dreams By Nokia

One of the more eye-catching mobile applications on show at Nokia World today is called Mobile Secretary, from Chinese firm InterGrafx. It's basically a 3D avatar that acts as your virtual secretary, residing on your phone. It's very fun.

Your secretary handles things like SMS and incoming calls. You can choose different types of secretary from your server site, you can fire them and download a new one, or train them to be smarter and more professional. And you can even take a photo of someone, and put their picture on the avatar. Mobile Secretary is available now in China, but Chiang says he's trying to drum up interest in Europe in the app too - hence his attendance at Nokia World. It's got that certain something that could make it a mobile hit – the…

Phone Can Now Take Pictures By Itself

Even if your cellphone has GPS, push email, and camera functions all built inside it, you still have to be there. While those are pretty impressive, the handset still can't take a photo without your manual help. This project hacks a standard handset, using a Picaxe microcontroller which allows your handset to capture images without you being there - all it takes is a text message and you're good to go.

The idea is to replace your fingers with the switches and your brain with a microcontroller. Depending on how compound your phone is, i.e. number of different keys to press in order to send a picture chooses your microcontroller accordingly. Of course, this would work great only if your camera phone does not come with any sort of sliding lens cover, else your…

New LG Removable Speakers For Cellphones

Whenever they are hooked to a cellphone, they act as traditional speakers and a microphone, but when you remove them, the transducers become wireless earphones. Does that sound futuristic enough? The transducers can selectively put one of the speakers into action for emanating a sound and a microphone for converting sound waves into electrical signals. For instance, the microphone senses small vibrations of the user’s vocal cords when generated through a vibration plate, amplifies them and converts them into electrical signals, and the speaker emanates the sound of the signals from the vibration plate.

LG also says you’ll be able to keep one of transducers in earphone mode listening to music or radio in the right ear, while talking on your phone via the other…
