Heuer will collaborate with Modelabs of France in order to come up with a range of luxury cellphones. Sounds like the success of designers like Prada and Armani is bugging Heuer so the company decided to do something about it. No further specifications regarding these handsets are currently available, although one can expect them to be as "contemporary" and "technological" as its watches, with a dash of "timeless". Oh yeah, should be expensive.
The first fruit of their collaboration is expected to ship sometime in the first half of 2008.TAG Heuer is best known for its sports timing and is likely to attach the phone into its more recent watch designs, which emphasize the company's Formula 1 racing connection as well as an upscale focus on accuracy. It remains unclear as to whether the company will follow in the footsteps of the LG Prada or Samsung P520 and adopt a full touchscreen phone design.
