Mankind has been using sex to sell for millennia. Yet another instance of such trashy and scandalous tactics was reported recently when LG announced that they would be using Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham to promote their newest handsets. The devices in question are the LG Lotus Elite and Rumor Touch. The two sluts…. I mean celebs, will be hosting a gala as part of the advertising campaign. LG is banking that some weak willed men and misguided women will purchase the Lotus Elite and Rumor Touch. The two phones will cost a little under $100, after the vicious sodomy of a two year contract. Both phones will be available via Sprint and are the successors of the LG Lotus and LG Rumor. While I am a big fan of both Longoria and Beckham, their association will not cause me to purchase one of these two new devices. On the contrary, it gives me the impression of appearance over substance.
