Apparently Twitter is now available for those with Android 2.1. I say apparently because I really didn't investigate the matter fully. The reason is because I firmly believe that Twitter is a waste of time. That being said, those who have tried it are ranting and raving about its functionality. It is fully cohesive with Facebook (anther application that needs to be put to the sword) and also offers an open-source API. A review from the blogosphere reports: 'Reading tweets is easy in a bunch of places on your phone. Quickly access your timeline with the home screen widget, view a tweet location on a map, and see your friend’s latest tweet in your phonebook, GoogleTalk list or any application that uses Android’s QuickContact bar.' Those with less than Android 2.1. will not be able to use the application, but that could be a blessing in disguise because this gives them time to do more productive and pragmatic activities.
