Know it all analysts, this time from Barclay Capitals, have predicted that the Google Nexus One will sell between five and six million units by the end of 2010. A rather staggering amount considering that the Nexus One has yet to win the hearts and minds of the mobile community. However, when one takes into consideration the all powerful Google brand name and the almost limitless resources at their disposal, maybe a six million figure does not seem out of step will reality. Let’s not forget, the majority of the market does not know Wi-Fi from 3G and doesn’t give two hoots if a handset is compatible with the latest mobile version of Google Maps. The vast majority of the talkbacks and comments in the blogosphere are by gadgets geeks and not by the mainstream populace. The ‘common’ folk will buy the Nexus One because they attribute it to Google. Don’t kid yourself for a second.
