Born in Muskogee, OK Smokie Norful moved to Chicago in 1998 and graduated Garrett Theological Seminary. In 2002 he released his first full-length album entitled I Need You Now on the Chordant label. The Limited Edition EP appeared the following year. Norful's next album called Nothing Without You was issued in 2004.
