Johnny Violent started the Ultraviolence project in the early 90's. The band's first single entitled "Shout" was released in 1991 on the Violent's record company. The group's EP called Vengeance was issued on the Food label. In 1994 Ultraviolence released its first full-length album, Life of Destructor, on Earache Rcords. Psychodrama appeared the next year.
