Vile is known to be formed in 1996. The band comprised such musicians as vocalist Juan Urteaga, guitarists Colin Davis and Aaron Strong, bassist Jef Hughell, and drummer Mike Hampton (soon to be replaced by Tyson Jupin). The band debuted in 1999 with their first album, which was called Stench of the Deceased. Depopulate, the sophomore effort, appeared in 2002.
