The band named Roxy Music was founded in 1971 by vocalist/keyboardist Bryan Ferry and bassist Graham Simpson. Drummer Paul Thompson, Brian Eno guitarist Davy O'List and saxophonist Andy Mackay joined the group the same year. O'List was replaced by Phil Manzanera in 1972.
