Bassist Niklas Sjostrom, guitarist Torstein Wickberg, drummer Dennis Ekdahl, and singer/guitarist Jonas Nilsson founded the Swedish group Raise Hell in 1995. Two years later the band signed the contract with the Nuclear Blast label, which released its first full-length album entitled Holy Target.
