The Spanish tech-house group Bassdrum Project was formed in 1999 by DJ Joe (real name Jos&e A. Herraiz) and DJ Beatblue (real name Carlos Conejo). In July 2000 independent Contrasena Records released their debut maxi-single, called "Phase one". In June 2001 followed "Dark track".
