Internet pundits have started to trip over themselves with excitement concerning the launch of the new BlackBerry Tour 9630. The BlackBerry Tour, which is probably the widest mobile phone I have ever seen, comes with several great features, including GPS mapping, 3G and a decent 3.2 Mega Pixel camera. Thumbs up for the BlackBerry Tour until one discovers that it does not include WiFi. Ok, now let me say that again. The BlackBerry Tour does not come with WiFi. So let me understand this correctly. The idiots at RIM actually thought that a business phone like the BlackBerry Tour should not come with WiFi? This has to be one of biggest blunders of 2009. How could a business phone of BlackBerry caliber not come with WiFi, when you can’t spit in a large city without hitting a WiFi hot spot? Business is all about adaptability. So why should we buy a business phone that does not adapt to the times? I say don’t buy without WiFI.
