Jeff Lynne is a self-admitting Beatles fan, and so ELO have often taken after the Beatles, in style and spirit. Moreover, ELO have enjoyed such grand success commercially during the 70s and 80s, at one point considered one of the world's biggest selling rock groups, with numerous Top 20 hits in the UK and the US, that Lynne has even tasted the sweet flavor of success which was his idols' cup of tea.
