The post grunge era has produced several interesting genres in the alternative rock world. One of the most interesting bands, California's geek rock group Weezer, were founded in 1992, a time grunge was in its final stages. Their self titled album Weezer, also known as the Blue Album, sold over three million copies and further enhanced the geek style with the memorable video for Buddy Holly, the award winning song from the album.
