Talk Talk was assigned the producer of Duran Duran when they formed in 1981 and was even chosen to open for the other new romantic band in concerts. This mold would not fit Talk Talk for long, as the band had greater ambition. By the second album, Talk Talk was to mature, later even abandoning synthesizers altogether.
