About Steve Miller Band
Prior to the Steve Miller Band, the vocalist and blues-rock guitarist Steve Miller was a member of the Goldberg-Miller Blues Band with Barry Goldberg. After a short stint with this group, he went on to form the Steve Miller Band, which remains active to this day. The Band took a deep breath before recording their first hit single, only on their eighth album featuring Paul McCartney on a song and the next, ninth album including the hit single The Joker.
