Stan Gets was one of the greatest tenor saxophone players of all time. He struggled with drug addiction for years, which prevented him from developing an even greater repertoire behind him than he has. The Stan Getz classics include his bossa nova style years in the 60s, De Uma Nota Só, Desafinado, The Girl from Ipanema with Calos Jobim and his wife (a Grammy winner) and others.
