American indie rock group Spoon has been compared with Sonic Youth and the Pixies for its witty and energetic indie rock music style. Though the comparisons were flattering, by all means, Spoon enjoyed the greatest boost when their song The Way We Get By was featured on the TV series The OC soundtrack as well as on other series and movies.
