Svefn-G-Englar, the first album that Sigur Ros released outside of Iceland, was hyped in the press, and received accolades and good reviews. In 1999 they performed together with Godspeed you! Black Emperor and Radiohead. Their album was name as best single of the week when it was released, by NME.
