Formed in 1967 in England, Procol Harum immediately made the top of the British charts and established their mellow psychedelic Hammond organ sound and poetic lyrics as a top progressive rock band. Procol Harum began touring right after their single's success, opening for no other than Jimi Hendrix, which further spread their reputation to bigger crowds.
