About Pixies
The early 90s saw a boom in alternative rock bands, not only in the US but in the UK as well. Largely responsible for this, as critics point out and bands admit themselves, are the Pixies. Like the Velvet Underground many years before them, the Pixies have formed a unique sound even though they released rather few albums. Their energies were enough to sweep a large following in their alternative rock footsteps.
