About Paul McCartney
Of all the Beatles, Paul McCartney had the most successful of solo careers, keeping a constant presence in the British media to this day. However, it is doubtful whether he was an ex-Beatles, or whether his material was really all that good. Certainly he had not lost the flair for hits that he had had during his time with the Beatles, but in the after years, without John's cynical restraint, the songs Paul McCartney released were at time too mainstream, with little real content.
