About Patti LaBelle
The quartet consisting of Cindy Birdsong, Nona Hendryx, Sarah Dash and soul dive Patti LaBelle was quick to identify the latter's unique signing voice and renamed themselves Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles. Later, under the name LaBelle, the group finally took off with great success, recording rock-oriented music and kicking off the long and successful career of the lady who has become known as one of rock and roll's greatest female singers ever.
