From the beginning Ozzy Osbourne was set to distinguish himself from everyone else. His first band, Black Sabbath, into which Ozzy Osbourne was invited by a schoolmate of his, guitarist Tony Iommi, played a heavy blues style rock with gloomy lyrics, as an alternative to the popular psychedelic rock style of the time.
