"I pulled into Nazareth/Was feelin' half past dead" starts The Band's song The Weight and so starts the musical journey of Nazareth, who named themselves after this line. Nazareth's success in the 70s continued to rely on classic songs and musicians, as their cover of Joni Mitchell's This Flight Tonight, which was a hard rocking version of the gentle song, another one of their hits from the decade.
