About Nas
The largest public housing project in the United States, Queensbridge in New York City saw the childhoods of several prominent rappers, among them Nas. The young rapper is self educated in African culture and civilization, the Bible and the Quran, having dropped out of school soon after his father left the house. Early on deciding to pursue a rap career, Nas joined bands in the projects and by the age of 21 was ready to launch a professional music career, which he has, and which has tuned out to be one of the most respected in the business.
