About Milt Jackson
Milt Jackson was a member of the Modern Jazz Quartet, also known as MJQ, a group of four jazz musicians, including, other than Jackson on vibraphone, John Lewis, Percy Heath and Kenny Clarke. MJQ emerged from Dizzie Gillespie's Big Band. Milt Jackson was often the leader of the group, which at times recorded under the name Milt Jackson Quartet.
