About Manic Street Preachers
Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers are one of the best loved and most successful rock bands in the UK. Their debut album, Generation Terrorists, was a Guns n' Roses influenced hard rock album with punk elements, similar to another band favored by the Manic Street Preachers, The Clash. Later developments brought the band to more mainstream, if still alternative, rock songs, with the political, if mellow, single If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next from 1998 a top chart hit.
