Primary Kraftwerk members Florian Schneider and Ralf Hütter first met as classical music students at the Dusseldorf Conservatory, and teamed up to form Organisation, and released an album. The two soon disbanded Organization and re-christened themselves Kraftwerk, meaning power station in German.
