About John Zorn
Is John Zorn a jazz musician? He is also a jazz musician, in addition to a Jewish music producer, post-bop saxophone player, film music composer and many other works he does. In his music, John Zorn like Frank Zappa often mixes many influences to create what would sound to an untrained or unwilling ear as a noisy mix of sounds, when in essence he often references and pays tribute to his major influences, among them Ennio Morricone, Sonny Clark and Ornette Coleman.
