Although Happy Mondays eventually became the most recognizable band of that drug-fueled scene, their addictions were what would bring them down in the end. At a high-level record contract meeting, lead singer Ryder walked out for some 'Kentucky Fried Chicken,' which was the band's slang for heroin. He never returned and Happy Mondays quickly fell apart.
