About Gladys Knight and The Pips
Georgia's R&B-soul group Gladys Knight and the Pips started recording and performing in 1953, but it was their signing with Motown, in 1966. This proved to be their career changing move, the perfect setting for Gladys Knight and the Pips, who nonetheless would later switch again to Buddah records, where they continued releasing R&B hits throughout the 70s.
