About Gipsy Kings
Flamenco masters the Gipsy Kings broke out into mainstream attention with their self-titled album from 1988, their third. The songs Djobi Djoba, Bamboleo and Un Amor were cross cultural hits, although were versions of traditional social dance songs such as salsa, samba and rumba. The songs names may be hard for non-Spanish speakers to remember, but the typical Gypsy Kings sound and style is easily identifiable and widely loved.
