About Gipsy Kings
Flamenco great Jose Reyes is not only the major influence over the Gypsy Kings, but he is also the father of lead vocalist Nicolas Reyes. Other Gypsy Kings members are related to the Reyes family as well (Reyes meaning Kings in Spanish). The band is famous not for their family ties, but rather for their pop-oriented flamenco music, which helped carry over the genre in a western style to the entire world, including the UK, US and France.
