About Freddie King
Freddie King was born in Texas to two guitar playing parents, who taught him to play the instrument at the age of six. When the family moved to Chicago, in 1950, Freddie King 16 at the time, he would see performances by Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and others, while jamming with some of their musicians. While working day jobs, King would record and perform at night, a career that would develop to become one of the greatest in American blues.
