About Echo and The Bunnymen
Echo and the Bunnymen pitched their 1984 album as "the greatest album ever made." Ocean Rain indeed made it to the #4 spot on the UK charts, a clear success for the alternative rock band, even though not as high as the previous Echo and the Bunnymen album, Porcupine, reached (#2). Ocean Rain, however, is still regarded as the band's masterpiece. It would also turn out to be an impossible feat to repeat.
