Carlos Santana has mixed many styles while forming his own unique guitar playing sound. Mexican born, Carlos Santana has introduced the salsa groove, but has mixed it with American rock elements. He was also highly influenced by the experimental jazz of Miles Davis, and so introduced jazz elements into his music. With Latin American instruments and live stage mastery, Santana would become one of the most intriguing musicians of the past decades.
