About Cab Calloway
Jazz singer and bandleader Cab Calloway worked with some of the most famous African-American jazz musicians in the big band era of the early 30s, including trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, saxophonist Ben Webster and others. The Cab Calloway Orchestra was only his first stop in a career that lasted until his death in 1994, which granted him the status of a truly popular entertainer.
