You might think that Bright Eyes is the pseudonym of a person, yet it is the musical project of singer songwriter Conor Oberst. Oberst came into the indie scene at the age of fourteen, when he was in the band Commander Venus. After releasing two albums, Commander Venus disbanded, but not before starting a recording label, Saddle Creek. Bright Eyes is one of the projects that saddle creek has been the outlet for.
