About Alice In Chains
Legendary singer Layne Staley met guitarist Jerry Cantrell in 1987 and together they formed Alice in chains, a group of four that played the Seattle clubs like many other grunge bands at the time. Alice in Chains however stepped to the fore with their especially heavy metal sound, more classic rock than most of their peers in the grunge scene.
