When the legal battles of Aimee Mann with her label, Imago, were reconciled, she went on to record another album, and had a small hit with a song that was featured in the hit television show, Melrose Place. The album and song received favorable reviews but weak sales. Aimee Mann was just not mainstream like Britney Spears, it would seem.
