While Aimee Mann may have attained stardom recently, she has been working steadily since the 1980s, when she was with the band Til Tuesday. After releasing three albums with them, she embarked upon a solo career. Her first solo album, Whatever, was far more introspective than her earlier work, and was a minor hit.
