Abscess is a punk-influenced death metal band. The band consists of several former musicians of a band called Autopsy. Abscess has begun to record demos and signed a deal with Relapse Records in 1995. After being dropped by Relapse Records Abscess spent the next few years rehearsing and making new musical material.
