(hed) pe fromed in 1984 in Huntington Beach in California. The area is known for its rock history, and when Jahred (a.k.a. M.C.U.D., a.k.a. Jerred Shaine) decided that he wished to create a band, he wanted it to reflect the region's long-standing punk rock heritage with G-funk-inflected hip-hop. The first album that (hed) pe released was self titled and was released through Jive Records.
