10cc – an art-pop band - was formed in Britain by Manchester-based pop stars, namely they were: Graham Gouldman (vocal), who was a member of Mockingbird and creator of hits for such bands as the Hollies, Herman's Hermits, the Yardbirds and Jeff Beck; Eric Stewart (vocal, guitar) worked with Wayne Fontana & the Mindbenders earlier; Kevin Godley and Lol Creme , both multi- instrumentalists and vocalists, had successfully played at studios before their joined to the 10cc.
