The rock band called Cult (former titles: the Southern Death Cult and Death Cult) was started by Ian Astbury (singer) in the early 80's. He recruited bassist Barry Jepson, guitarist David Burrows, and drummer Haq Quereshi. The band's debut single entitled "Moya"/"Fatman" was issued in 1982.
