The country group Texas Lightning was founded at the end of the 80's by singer Miss Jane Comerford, drummer Olli "Ringofire" Dittrich, singer and guitarist Jonny "The Flame" Olsen, bassist Uwe "Friendly" Frenzel, guitarist and banjo player Markus "Fastfinger" Schmidt. The band gave its first concert at the Hamburg club Knust in German in 2000.
