Origins of the band are lead to 1967, where two ex-members from "John's Children" guitarist Jeff Makkelland, keyboardist Kris Dawnset, and drummer Andy Ward joined their forces. Soon Ward and Ferguson (their bassist) and young guitarist and flautist Andy Latimer formed trio "Brew".
