The group Bethlehem was formed in 1991 by bassist Jurgen Bartsch and guitarist Klaus Matton (who as a boy lost his father because of suicide and mother because of cancer). Some time before they made a project Dark Tempest, but got tired of it, and united by a morbid, almost pathological fascination with suicide and death.
