More from Sony Ericsson...

Fresh from its mammoth phone splurge at last month's MWC, Sony Ericsson has released yet another new phone, this time at CeBIT 2008. The new Sony Ericsson T303 isn't quite as fancy as some of the other phones it announced recently, such as the all-singing, all-dancing XPERIA X1. In fact, it's just a basic entry-level phone with minimal features but a rather fancy design (well, fancy for an entry-level phone, anyway). Sony Ericsson today unveiled the T303, an attractive phone that is small and neat enough to carry with you on every occasion. This compact slider phone has been given the high-end treatment, with a mirrored screen, metal housing and chrome finish. “The T303 is a great addition to the Sony Ericsson T-line of products, combining premium finish and materials

Imagine that you are holding A Skype in your hands

Details are scarce at the moment, but Sony makes clear mention of a Skype client for the handheld game system on its 2008 promo site, which is pretty official though we're going to hold our breath a little till we see a press release. Obviously, we'll be hearing a lot more about this when the big show kicks off this month, but until then at least we can all sleep a little better at night knowing that the PSP is about to get yet another succulent function. Again, we all expect Sony to announce the magic on the Consumer electronic show, January 7 - 10 in Las Vegas, if not…well, we wont forgive.

Sony Ericsson to launch a new UIQ messenger device

There are some rumors spreading that Sony Ericsson has a brand new UIQ messenger device that is almost ready to be rolled out under the P3i name. It could be an alternative version based on the Elena model, and chances are the changes and improvements will lean more towards the software side of things rather than the hardware. If you don't have any love and appreciation for the current P1i, do you think the P3i would be able to win you over, or are you currently holding out for something with a little more substance? From the thumbnail leaked from MSN China, it is almost the same UIQ that we have seen since the dawn of civilization. Software updates are expected, but unlikely to be revolutionary. Let’s see how many P1i haters can be convinced to use this messenger

Sony Ericsson Patents Drag-And-Drop Phone To Phone Transfer

The portable device with short range communication function patent offers a simplified procedure for sending and receiving data using a drag and drop interface on a mobile phone. At present sending a photo or music file isn’t particularly straightforward in most handsets. A user has to select an item from the menu, select the "send item" option, select the communication method or channel, and possibly activate the communication function such as Bluetooth.
Rather than go through the whole process this new interface would allow a Sony Ericsson mobile user to simply drag an item off the side of their phone's touchscreen in the direction of the device to receive the file. For use with NFC Near Field Communication as well as Bluetooth, the action of
